Planning will start soon! ******** Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at St. Andrew's Parish Hall, 154 Main Street West at 8 p.m. 2004/05 September 15th - Pie Social, 7.30 p.m. followed by Robert Malcolmson speaking on "Sir Isaac Brock - The Man and the Myth." October 20th - Peter Young, author of Celebration of Ontario's Dance Hall and Summer Dance Pavilions. His topic is "Let's Dance!" November 17th - Jerry Barnes, Sergeant-Major, Tank Core will speak on "D-Day, Juno Beach". Saturday, November 27th - Annual Christmas Trip to St. Jacobs includes Mennonite Story at the Visitors' Centre, shopping, buffet at Crossroad Family Restaurant and Tour of Castle Kilbride at Baden. Bus leaves Grimsby at 9 a.m. A limited number of tickets available in advance. January 19th - The Maple Syrup Story with Ann and Murray Bering of White Meadows Farms. February 16th - Catherine Slaney, educator and author will speak on "Family Secrets - Crossing the Colour Line." March 16th - Margaret Houghton of Special Collections, Hamilton Public Library, Author will tell us about "Great Men of Hamilton's History" April 20th - Ray Fazakas, Lawyer and Author. His topic will be "The Real Story of the Black Donnellys". May 18th - 6.30 p.m. - Pot Luck Dinner, followed by the Annual Meeting and at 8 p.m., a Musican Treat by the Kindred Spirits. An evening of Music and Inspiration. Please join us on any of these evenings! Interested researchers, genealogists and history lovers are invited to visit the Archives Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, or by appointment. |
