A powerful thunderstorm struck Grimsby around 11:30 pm on July 22, 2008 packing powerful winds and intense downpours, but the most extreme element of the storm was a period of hail that lasted about a half hour and left the ground covered to a depth of more than an inch with pea to marble sized hail stones. These pictrues were taken during the storm and the morning after. Click for larger images.
